Hispanic Rodeo King to make stateside tour

Super Rodeo: Jaripeo king Joan Sebastian, Conjunto Primavera and Jenni Rivera set for trio of shows
CMN EVENTS PRESS RELEASE

Eight-time Grammy Award winner Joan Sebastian has announced a trio of dates for his upcoming stateside tour. After a one-year hiatus from the spotlight, fans of the king of jaripeo (rodeo) in the Lone Star State will be happy to learn that the Billboard Hall of Fame inductee will kick off the tour with performances at Houston’s Toyota Center on Sunday, Mar. 29 and at Dallas’ American Airlines Center on Sunday, Apr. 12. But fans in Chicago needn’t worry, as Sebastian – who spent some time in the Windy City in the early 1970’s prior to reaching his stardom status – has also confirmed a homecoming, complete with his popular rodeo show, at the Allstate Arena on Sunday, Apr. 19.

The Juliantla, Guerrero native has also announced that Conjunto Primavera and Jenni Rivera will open the shows. The popular norteƱo sextet and Latin Grammy winner Primavera, whose well of hits include “Que Dios te Perdone,” “No Le Ruegues,” and “Renunciacion,” will join Sebastian in Houston and Dallas, while the charismatic Rivera, who has just released her 10th studio recording, “Jenni,” will open for the singer/songwriter of “Secreto de Amor” in Chicago.
