Latino crooner to perform at NBA Allstar game

Lovin' for Latinos: Juanes
Vibe 02/10/2009

He sings to me in Spanish. With every pluck of his guitar, he strips away my myriad layers of emotions. And the best part: Ma Dukes approves.

Within Colombian singer/songwriter Juanes's lyrical ventilation lays the hope of Latinos for love and social change.

Whereas several of his fellow peers have made an English crossover to feel the sumptuous shine of mainstream fame, Juanes, admirably, has gained zealots only through his native language. Through out his career Juanes has collected seventeen Latin Grammys, and this past Sunday he won his first American Grammy for Best Pop Latin Album for La Vida...Es un Ratico (2007)

Juanes will be joining John Legend on Feb. 15th at the NBA All-Star event in Phoenix, AZ. Both will team up to perform "If You're Out There" from Legend's recent album Evolver.
