Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas Resorts Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with World-Renowned Entertainment and Award-Winning Tequila

LAS VEGAS, NV – Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas resorts join Hispanics across the country in celebration of culture and achievement during National Hispanic Heritage Month. Building loyalty and value with visitors, Caesars Entertainment resorts, including Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Flamingo Las Vegas and more, will provide a full month of activities, concerts and other events that focus on Hispanic culture.

Latin music superstar Luis Miguel will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a record sixth consecutive year during Las Vegas Hispanic Heritage Month. The performances will take place Thursday, Sept. 13 through Saturday, Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. The three-night engagement is presented jointly by AEG Live and Caesars Palace. Tequila Tasting at Caesars Palace

Brown-Forman has partnered with Caesars Palace Las Vegas for an exclusive offering during National Hispanic Heritage Month. Hand-selected from Amatitan, Jalisco, north of Guadalajara, this Herradura Double Reposado tequila will be available exclusively to Caesars Palace guests. The iconic resort will craft specialty cocktails with this unique tequila, providing guests with a distinguished taste of Mexico.

Starting on Friday, Sept.14 through Sunday Sept. 16, the following cocktails will be available at all front bars and lounges.

Herradura Signature Margarita: 1 ½ ounces Herradura Double Reposado, ½ ounce Cointreau, and equal parts Agave Nectar and fresh lime juice.

Herradura Mojito: 2 ounces Herradura Double Reposado with equal parts Agave Nectar, fresh lime juice, mint leaves, and soda.

Skinny Herradura Shot: Herradura Double Reposado, cucumber juice, and lime juice.

Guests will also find Herradura promotional models at the Garden of the Gods Pool from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and at the lounges from 10 p.m. to midnight. To add to the celebration, on Saturday, Sept. 15, Caesars Palace will include a Herradura branded "Ice Bar” and Flamenco dancers.

Las Vegas International Mariachi Festival

The Las Vegas International Mariachi Festival is the longest-running Hispanic entertainment event in Las Vegas returning once again on Sept. 15 to PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. This grand three and a half hour musical event will feature entertainers from Mexico and the United States performing one of the world’s most unique and recognized forms of music, Mariachi. Celebrating The Cry of Independence (El Grito de Independencia)

Carlos’n Charlie’s at Flamingo Las Vegas celebrates El Grito all weekend long offering Mexican fare and drink specials Sept. 14 through Sept. 16. El Grito has become an annual celebration marking the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence. Guests can enjoy tequila servings, enchiladas by the pound and Mexican appetizers from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dancing, music and entertainment will be available.

Los Temerarios

During this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month, Las Vegas will pay tribute to internationally known Latin band Los Temerarios by giving them a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars on Thursday, Sept. 13. The ceremony will take place at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Mezzanine level in the old “London Club” just outside Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Saloon starting at 6 p.m. Los Temerarios will celebrate 35 years in music, recording more than 20 albums and having been honored with multiple awards and nominations, earning five Billboard awards in the Latin categories.

National Hispanic Heritage Week celebrates the anniversary of Independence Day for Latin American countries. It began in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan to cover a 30-day period starting on Sept. 15 and ending on Oct. 15.
