Hispanic TV viewers enjoy Idol, the Bachelor

For the week of March 3 to March 10, Hispanic viewers showed again that American Idol and Manana para Siempre are two of the most addicting shows on television. On the English-language networks, The Bachelor finale and Bachelor: After the Final Rose manage to take spots eight and four, respectively while Cuidado con el Angel and Tontas no van Cielo nabbed the second and third spots on the Spanish language networks.

The Bachelor received a lot of tabloid attention in the recent week after bachelor Jason Mesnick dumped his final pick, Melissa, for runner-up Molly -- after he had already gone through with the proposal! Mesnick said that he decided that Molly was truly for him after spending a lot of alone time with Melissa and realized that they were not as compatible as he once thought. After reported weeks of begging and flowers, Molly took Jason back and they both appeared very happy and in love on the After the Final Rose episode. Although it is usually customary for the runner up to be the next bachelor, or in this case, bachelorette, ABC reports that interior designer Jillian will receive that honor next season.
